The Maupiti Challenge is, at it seems, a yearly event with an unique sailing race, a hike on the island and a conclusive volcano rafting trip. The participants, all very wealthy, enjoy the nature in a basic way.
With great respect for the 1.200 inhabitants of the island and the environment. The event is about participating. It was first organized in the 80’s and it is still unclear exactly how. There are no preset dates or an event organization. You are invited. Or not.
